Veena is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist who uses a collaborative and supportive approach to help people achieve their goals of therapy, reduce pain and suffering, and create meaningful change in their lives.
She has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and completed her clinical training in New Zealand. Veena has worked in Australia and New Zealand, where she has experience working across the spectrum in both public and private mental health settings.
At Re-centre, Veena cares for people aged 17 years and older. She has experience caring for people who require support in areas including depression, anxiety, perfectionism, stress and burnout, adjustment to life changes, relational difficulties, grief and loss, disordered eating and body image concerns, trauma and emotional dysregulation.
In her practice, Veena draws on different evidence-based interventions to best suit each person’s needs. These interventions include mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
