Re-cover: From Addictions

Course at a glance

Re-cover: From Addictions is a course aimed at supporting people with addictive behaviours on their road to recovery.

About the course

Facilitated by Dr Zelda Strydom, Re-cover: From Addictions is an expert-led course consisting of 10 weekly 1.5 hour sessions.

As a course participant you will be expected to commit to the full course, as each week builds on what you will learn in the previous session. You will need to commit to completing weekly homework tasks varying from one to two hours per week, and to practice the skills learning within the course as often as possible.

At the end of the course you will have a set of personal recovery goals established, and have a wide range of tools available to support you in achieving your goals. The techniques taught in this course will support you in your recovery toward living your best life, re-establishing health relationships, and reaching your full potential.

“The opposite of addiction is connection”, and this course provides a space for people in various stages of their recovery journey to get together and explore their feelings, investigate their beliefs and build on their strengths.
