Our specialised Autism Spectrum Disorder/Condition (ASD/C) support for your child is designed to help build a pathway forward and collaboratively support the well-being of your whānau.

Your child’s ASD/C assessment at Re-centre will include the following:

• Extended initial assessment of 3 to 4 hours
• Psychometrics, including brief cognitive assessment if required
• Diagnostic report
• 30 minute feedback and discussion session.

The first appointment will be attended by parents or carers and your child. This consists of a group interview and then spending time with the parents/carers and your child separately.

Once the forms have been completed (including parent and teacher reports), our clinician will score them and provide a comprehensive report.

We’ll review the findings together along with a discussion of treatment options should your child receive an ASD/C diagnosis.

If further assessment is required then this will be discussed and suitable charges applied.
