It’s totally normal to have a sleepless night now and then, but if you frequently struggle to get a good night’s sleep, and feel tired and groggy during the day, then this course is for you!
CBT for insomnia is a widely recognised treatment. Many studies have found CBT therapies are superior to sleep medication, with years of positive long-lasting effects.
Facilitated by Medical Practitioner Dr Zelda Strydom, Re-fresh: Your Sleep will focus on two main areas to address your sleep issue.
A cognitive approach
We’ll work with you to recognise any beliefs preventing you from sleeping well.
A behavioural approach
We’ll support you to develop healthy sleep habits, removing past barriers that have kept you from sleeping well.
You’ll learn techniques including stimulus control, sleep restriction, and the relaxation response.
This course is set over 7 weeks and includes a 1:1 session with Zelda and a personal workbook to support you on your journey.
The group will cover these 5 areas over 7 weeks.
- Sleep education and cognitive restructuring
- Sleep medications and sleep scheduling
- Stimulus control
- The relaxation response
- Sleep hygiene
Participating in our Re-fresh: Your Sleep course will equip you with strategies to start practicing for better sleep.
At the end of this course, you’ll be better equipped to look forward to a life without worrying about the consequences of a bad night’s sleep.
